American Labradoodle Origin

American Labradoodle is not a purebred dog. It is a cross between the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle while in Australian, the breed is the result of Labrador Retriever, Poodle and also the American and English Cocker Spaniels.

Genetically, American Labradoodle pups are not consistent and can result in some being more like one parent or the other. Normally Australian Labradoodles come in three different sizes.

  • Weight: 15 to 25lbs (7kg to 13kg)

2. Medium Size

Height: 17 to 20 inches (43cm to 52cm) at wither. The ideal size for the female is 17 to 19 inches and the male is 18 to 20 inches and the Weight is 30 to 45 lbs.

3. Standard Size

Height: 21 to 24 inches (53cm to 63cm) at wither. The ideal size for the female is 21 to 23 inches and the male is 22 to 24 inches and the Weight is 50 to 65lbs (23kg to 30kg)

While the physical appearance of American Leberadoodle depends upon the dominance of Poodle to Labrador genes in his DNA. These are found in different colors like blonde, chocolate, black, charcoal and apricot and it varies from soft, wavy and flat to a more curly, poodle-type coat.
