The vestibular disease in cats is the disease of the vestibular system. The vestibular system maintains balance and coordination. Vestibular disease can affect cats of all ages. In vestibular disease, the non-progressive disturbance of balance occurs. Cat health affects badly due to vestibular disease. Whenever a vestibular disease occurs then the following symptoms will appear. nausea, vomiting, imbalance, incoordination, nystagmus, and tilting of the head.

Etiology
Up till now the exact cause of the problem is unknown. But usually, it occurs whenever any middle or inner ear infection occurs. Diagnosis
To diagnose vestibular disease in cats the veterinarian will take a complete history. The veterinarian will check any physical findings or symptoms appear. Different tests e.g MRI, X-ray of the skull, urine test and CSF analysis and examination of fluid in the ear canal.
Treatment of vestibular disease

Usually, the idiopathic vestibular disease in cats is not a long term condition. Its symptoms appear for a very short time period. The signs of the disease worse during the initial 2 days. The signs and symptoms gradually recover with time. The nystagmus also disappears with time. Different studies tell that there is no clear evidence about the transmission of this disease. There is not a single evidence that justifies that this disease transmitted to other animals or humans.
